Under Construction – Young Humanities at Work WS 18/19

For the first time, the Faculty of History and Cultural Studies will offer this lecture series which is organized by KAMI, the international office of the departments of Art History, Ancient and Classical Studies and Musicology. Students will have the possibility to gain insight into the broad range of research projects which will be presented in individual lectures. These will thematically shift between topics from History, Musicology, Art History, Classical Archaeology, Egyptology, Classical Studies, Byzantine Art History, Ethnology and Ancient Near Eastern Studies.

PhD students and Post-Docs present their current research projects, both "work-in-progress" as well as results from completed dissertations. The lecture series thereby provides students with an interdisciplinary approach to studying the humanities by introducing them to the diversity of research questions, methods, sources and theses.

This course is aimed at students from Mainz and international students from abroad and is held in English.

Time: Tuesdays, 6.15pm – 7.45pm
Location: Philosophicum, room P 13
